Really like the contrast between the two sides of the bridges, and how the south side is such a blank slate with just the boating activity standing out? Did you try any color shifts to maybe bring a bit more of a blue to the water? Don’t know if that would take away from its power and make it look more mundane. I sort of feel the same way about the framing.
At first it looks like it could be cropped to remove the top of the picture (so much open water!), but then I think all that open water suggests the possibilities as the boats race to that open water.
Thanks for the feedback, Joel. I tried cropping it down to focus more on the boats, but I-90 began to dominate and become more distracting. It also gets more than a little blurry if I crop it down too much! I did discover that there are actually three crews on the water, not two, though!
I have tried it both more blue and more golden, but to really make that work I’d need to mask off the I-90 lanes. Not sure it’s worth it as I kinda like the b&w approach, but it’s a good reminder to experiment with different effects, something I keep forgetting is on option.
Thanks, Jim; yes, I’m often struck by how markedly different the water is on either side of the bridge! The top of the photo is due West, so the left side is the bridge’s North edge.

Very different textures from the left side of the bridge to the right. Is the top of the photo the north side of the bridge???

Obvious question…where were you? Commercial, private, fixed wing or rotor??
Commercial Boeing 737, SeaTac-Myrtle Beach, SC. With a clear window!
