In the lower picture, I really like the drop of water in the upper left third. The soft focus in the rest of the shot helps me to see the drop as the center of interest. I wish there was a way to make it pop out a bit more. Re cropping the picture to make the drop more obvious would result in losing the context for the placement of the drop. Some off-center vignetting might help, or it might just look strange and contrived. Don’t know what could be done – so just keep the subtlety as a feature of the picture.

The top picture is very colorful and nicely focused and sharp. really catches my eye. But after it catches my eye, i am not sure what you want me to look at. Is it the branch with yellow leaves, or the reds, or the contrast between the two, and how do the greens play into the picture? Depending on the point of focus, a number of different changes could be made? Or is the focus clear to you, and I am just missing it?

Neat shots! The short focal length really comes into play on the first one for sure. The diagonal yellows and counterbalance of the orange blooms really set off the upper shot.

On the top pic darkening and pushing the background even further back would really set off the yellows and oranges. Nice stuff!
